PSJ Soccer Players Become Licensed Coaches

Congratulations to PSJ Soccer Club’s own Alexia Bledsoe, Laura Fichtl, and Jackie Dove for successfully completing the FYSA "F" coaches course thereby attaining their F Certificate.  The class was held August 5, 2010 at Mitchell Ellington Park on Merritt Island and was FYSA’s staff instructor, Mr. Bill Buren.  The "F" Certificate course is designed as a combination of classroom and field time.  It’s an 8 hour course and includes player development philosophies, team management, technical and tactical topics.

Alexia, Laura, and Jackie’s committment to their soccer education will be a tremendous asset to future players who are fortunate enough to be coached by one of these outstanding young coaches.

Pictured below are the graduates of the all day affair.  Please notice that these are ALL high school and college age individuals from a variety of schools and clubs.  I think the futures of our local soccer programs are in good hands.

Is Your Company Interested In Supporting Our Organization?

If you have a child playing at our club we’re sure you would agree that we offer a great value. Over the years we’ve managed to keep our registration fees the lowest in the county, while at the same time providing a great soccer experience for our kids.

The heart of our organization are the volunteers and local businesses who give of their time and treasure to support us. Our thanks go out to each and every one of them.

As we begin planning for the Fall 2010 season we’re looking for business community members to help make our upcoming season the best ever. Might the company you work for be interested in helping, and receiving a free advertising banner hung at the park as a sign of our appreciation? Why not ask your manager and find out? It’s a great way to support the youth of our community. If your company would like to donate please contact our donations coordinator or download the sponsor form here. We would be glad to assist you.

A Few Reminders About Club Rules And Safety

While visiting our facility, either during training sessions or match days, we need  your full cooperation in the following areas:

Please do not move the goals or the player benches.  These are heavy and have been placed where they need to be.  It is not necessary that either be moved.

Please make certain that all goals are anchored.  This is the responsiblity of EVERYONE.  We do not want to see anyone injured from goals falling over.  If you see a goal that is not anchored, take action and anchor it.  If you need assistance, contact a board member and let them know immediately.

Should the weather become unfavorable, listen to the announcement that is made.  If lightning is in the area we will clear the fields.  When the fields are cleared, EVERYONE must leave the area and wait in their cars until the "all clear" is given.  We will wait a minimum of 30 minutes after a lightning strike is detected before allowing play (training or matches) to resume.  Remember, the weather changes quickly - please wait it out, we will try to resume as soon as it is safe to do so.

All players, during training sessions and on match days must have on their shin guards.  Socks MUST also be worn OVER the shin guards.  This is a mandatory part of the equipment necessary to participate.  Please make sure that on match days that all players wear the complete uniform that the club provides.  This includes the provided socks and shorts.

Animals are not allowed in the park, unless they are service dogs.

Smoking areas are provided outside of the fences.

Please help us make this a great season by cooperating in these areas.

Thanks
